ABOUT

Champion of Sustainable Tropical Living

Heather Pinnock is a Jamaican PlaceMaker and Champion of Sustainable Tropical Living. She is a development professional with formal training in Architecture, Urban Design and Project Management, as well as over 23 years of experience in construction and real estate. She is a graduate of the Bartlett Development Planning Unit at University College London and the Caribbean School of Architecture at University of Technology, Jamaica.

Heather has worked across Jamaica as well as in Saint Lucia and Trinidad and Tobago. Her experience includes master planning, energy efficient and net zero buildings, sustainable housing and public spaces. In 2021 she concluded a successful stint leading one of the Government of Jamaica’s largest real estate management and development agencies, the Urban Development Corporation, where she actively promoted ‘making development happen sustainably’. 

Heather was appointed co-chair of the Commonwealth Women in Planning network in June 2022. She is also a certified SCRUM Master, an EarthCheck Design Accredited Professional and a licensed realtor associate. Her company, LUCEA Caribbean, offers real estate advisory services with a focus on sustainable development and conscious living for tropical regions.

Technical guidance, strategic planning, and design assistance for any and/or all phases of real estate development from early ideas and site selection through to master planning, design, and implementation. 

PlaceMaking and Master Planning

Spatial planning, ideation, and design concepts for the creation of functional and meaningful places in our built environment. Comprehensive and large-scale programming for development projects including assessments, regulatory and implementation guidance. 

Programme and Project Management

Leadership of development programmes and/or projects of all sizes from concept to close out. Curation of professional design services and teams in accordance with client characteristics and requirements. Construction project management including coordination, oversight of professional services and site monitoring.

Additional services in support of all aspects of development including:
